Is the restaurant only for paid visitors? Wondering if Grandpa can sit for coffee and sandwich if he chooses not to go in and decides to wait whole the younger people visit.?
It's inside the paid admission area, thus likely only for paying guests.
A cozy restaurant!Salad is ok.The fish is great! And the beer... It’s not only food, but it just saves me from suffering a rainy day! It was my first to Canada! Everything else is just fine.Staff is friendly~ view is great!
MoreIdeal place for a meal after the tour through the forest with obligatory photo on the suspension bridge
MorePossibly one of the BEST dining experiences I have ever had. Friendliest host and server (Joline I believe) who you could tell genuinely wanted you to enjoy your meal. Gave great recommendations and offered us blankets upon noticing that we were cold (PS don't sit near the door). We had the fish & chips and spaghetti and I highly recommend both, although spaghetti was a little too oily. Entrées are around $25 each. Every single person at our table agreed that this restaurant makes the best fries.
MoreWhen you visit the Capilano Suspension Bridge, you can cross the bridge and go around the tree tops adventure and boardwalk, take a stroll along the cliff at Cliff Walk, and take about 3 hours to see the gift shop. Add another hour and enjoy lunch or early dinner at the Cliff House Restaurant. It was surprisingly affordable, delicious and voluminous! The amount was really great, so it was just right to share and eat. In summer, the terrace in the grove is very popular.
MoreWow food at its very best. Beautiful salmon full of flavour presented to perfection. Lovely waitress Jasmine.
MoreNice setting and friendly staff. Food was acceptable
Normally I would have given only 1 star: waiting nearly 1 hour for our food and then getting raw chicken on two burgers. But the staff was very professional. That’s why, 3 stars - prices are reasonable and view on the suspension bridge is great.
MoreFantastic view, beautiful setting, wonderful staff, reasonable prices for the location, good beer and wine selection, very accommodating of children, and serviceable food.
MoreBad experience. A hair on my son's saucer. My wife and daughter asked for chicken and came with visors !! It was a bit disgusting.I ordered lamb and the portion was miserable. The service is attentive, but the product very bad
MoreLoved the location, our waiter was fantastic, the coffee is some of the best brew I’ve ever tasted (they have their own blend & technique), the food was delicious and there was one vegan option. The menu changes often. Pricey but that’s expected due to location and convenience. This photo was our view through the window by our table. Charming!
MoreNice place, good food and nice waiters
I came to see the famous suspension bridge ...What is so crowded at the entrance ...Stop going to Suspension Bridge and have a rest here. The inside of the store was down and I could enjoy a Canadian feeling.
MoreAs expected, the place was like everything else in the Capilano park...rustical, refurbished and well crafted. So was the food...the tomato soup was one of the best I had... you could really see it was made from real tomatoes....the burgers were averagely good! The service was very kind and accomodating. The only reason why I and many reviewers before me don't give five stars are the prices! While I do understand it has to be more expensive in touristic places like this, I think 25% abouve the avatage prices in a similar places in Vancouver is just a bit too much... specially when tjere is no happy hour...nor many people during winter months...
MoreGreat views and fantastic food. During the summer season, be patient - it's packed.
MoreGreat staff and outstanding service Five stars to staff. The menu is awful.
Delicious, but quite overpriced.
Nice place good food
Extensive rainforest views in a gorgeous outdoor courtyard or inside heritage dining room. The cliffhouse has an unexpectedly tasty menu paired with local British Columbian wine, beer, ciders and cocktails. I can recommend happy hour specials which will feed you for about $15 and local draft beer is only $6.5 from 5-8pm. If you are a local consider getting a membership to Capilano and this will give you ten percent off. Dog friendly.
MoreNice, calm, cozy restaurant.👠good drink, good services and good food. I tried short ribs and loved it.
Moregood food, poor selection, awful service. will most likely not return.
We were amazed at how much we enjoyed our meal here. As it is a tourist spot we had low expectations, but the food was delicious, and the price was very fair. It was a bit slow, but in that setting who cares. The waitress was accommodating and friendly! Sitting outside is a great setting and did not feel like a tourist spot. I highly recommend eating here if you are visiting Capilano Suspension Bridge!
MoreA bit price, but place if fenomenal.
The food was delicious! I really enjoyed my time at this restaurant. We ordered the blackberry cocktail which was incredibly well made. I also ordered tea.The clam chowder soup was excellent as well as the quinoa salad. I tried a few fries and that was great as well. Definitely an enjoyable, delicious, and memorable experience.Side note: Canadians are delightful!
MoreGood time visit.
The food and the outdoor setting surrounded by the woods are superb. Strongly recommended to have lunch after the visit.
MoreNice location, excellent service, poor choice of food.
New sit-down restaurant inside Capilano Park primarily serving sandwiches and appetizers, with a good beer and liquor selection.Outdoor dining area is great for sunny days, overlooking the cliff walk area.We enjoyed a pulled pork sandwich and the chicken and avocado sandwich among three of us. Sandwiches were large and tasty, and each was served with a side of fries. We finished too stuffed for any dessert options.Prices are about 10-20% higher than comparable items outside the park, but not bad given the quality and setting. We would do this again on another visit.
MoreGood
As a solo business traveller relaxing for the day amidst the beauty of Capilano Suspension Bridge Park, I was looking for comfort food for lunch and then later for an afternoon dessert. Both visits were very enjoyable experiences. Several minor service incidents were promptly corrected and the staff were very friendly and accommodating.
